Mekanotjänst has a broad range of turning and milling services and equipment including numerous 3, 4 and 5-axis machining centres with multi-pallet systems and modern turning centres with bar feeding and robot loading.
Heavy turning and milling
Mekanotjänst has substantial heavy turning and milling capacity with dedicated equipment and manpower. Heavy turning and milling refers to the machining of castings and forged components in various materials such as ductile cast-iron, steel castings, stainless steel and aluminium.
Mekanotjänst’s production include both horizontal and vertical machining centres, an FMS installation with two 4-axis machines with 36 pallets and equipment for internal and external grinding.
Castings
Mekanotjänst is skilled and experienced in machining ductile iron castings, stainless steel and aluminium. Mekanotjänst is able to provide services throughout the optimization process from the selection of die cast material or casting method to re-engineering complex structures and the choice of finishing method.
High Speed Milling
Within High Speed Milling (HSM), Mekanotjänst offers turning in 4 and 5-axis machining centres with spindle motors up to 25000 rpm. Off-line programming allows production simulation while also maximizing machine efficiency and thus cost effectiveness.
